Lea Culver

“Have Courage & Be Kind” is the mantra Lea has chosen to live her life by.

Lea has spent her career providing great hospitality in the service industry. She has helped shape careers while creating happy dining experiences for friends and families. Her passion for providing service has extended into her community and beyond, primarily in her work with nonprofit organizations whose missions are to provide for women, children, and the education and well-being of families.

John Urban

Co-Founder
Creative Director

John has 30-plus years of professional experience as a photographer and video director/producer.

He also did a morning radio show for 5 years, hosted a TV show for 12, and emcees about 389 events a year (okay, it’s really like 5 or 6).

While he has spent the majority of his career creating commercial work in order to pay the rent and buy only the finest frozen pizzas, he has been happiest when working with nonprofits on the side, in a tiny attempt to help make the world a better place.

Some of the nonprofits John has worked with:

100+ Women Who Care
American Heart Association Wisconsin
BriarPatch Youth Services
Domestic Abuse Intervention Services

Gio’s Garden Respite Center
Humanity United
Meriter Foundation
Rape Crisis Center

ReSurge International
Ronald McDonald House Charities – Madison
Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation

Some KIND words about Big Dreamers United –

These photos were instrumental to our family’s journey and served as a great backdrop to launch Little Warrior Foundation. Thank you Big Dreamers United and John Urban/Flashes of Hope-Milwaukee Chapter for giving back to cancer warriors. So important and so meaningful. We’ll treasure them forever.

John’s greatest gift is his ability to connect the audience to the heart and soul of an organization and leave them wanting to know more.

Big Dreamers United successfully captured the magic of the incredible life-changing journeys that happen under this roof and how critical having a supportive home-like environment is to the healing process of our transplant families.  The touching video they have created of guest stories overwhelms me with emotion and pride each and every time I watch it.  Nobody has captured our stories and the importance of our mission here at Restoring Hope better than John and Lea.  They care deeply about families and breathe life into the human spirit which is the power of story-telling. Thank you for everything!

Our nonprofit’s mission is to create food and housing security, so it’s not surprising that we don’t have top-notch videographers on staff nor budgets to create complex, creative projects. Yet in today’s world, clear succinct video communication is a terrific tool to help our community understand the work we do at MOM. Enter Big Dreamers United!  Given only some simple video clips and a goal, the talented staff at Big Dreamers United gave us the ability to share our work in an accessible and creative way, inviting viewers to help us make our vision for a better community come true. We’re so grateful for how easy you made the process and for doing so with joy and enthusiasm. Thank you.

My experience with Big Dreamers United in producing a video for our organization was very positive. The video conveyed our purpose and mission clearly. Equally important was the level of professionalism exhibited by the producer who was extremely helpful in putting together our message.
